Vision: By hosting annual and bi-monthly events, such as the annual Guardians' Gala, guest speakers, and leadership development forums in South Florida, we strive to increase our network, improve our knowledge, and enhance our experiences. While planning and executing these events, our members will mentor others, develop new friendships, and enjoy professional fellowship and leadership opportunities.
The SFCGA:
- Is organized as a not for profit veteran’s organization pursuant to Section 501(c)(19) of the Internal Revenue Code
- Engages in activities that are socially and environmentally responsible
- Evaluates its operations continually to respond to changing environments and circumstances
- Is a people-centered organization, responsive to the needs of SFCGA members and guests
- Collaborates with people and organizations from all sectors of the military and civilian communities, including individuals not employed by the Federal government
- Does not receive appropriated funds from the U.S. Coast Guard or any other element of the Federal government
- Does not perform any essential function in the operation of the U.S. Coast Guard
- Is not established to carry out any policies of the United States, but to promote the social, welfare, and teamwork qualities of SFCGA members and guests
